About 87 acres are slated for treatment and, thus far, about 40 acres have been treated. The effect has been dramatic. This before photograph in the northern part of the meadow was taken in June 2006.
Brush piles are burned in late October to late November by the Nevada Division of Forestry when climate condition are favorable (photo late October 2007). The logs were removed during the summer of 2008.
